We have secured our first site in the small village of Svirkovo, Haskovo province.

It is ideally located very near both the Greek and Turkish borders, and about 30 minutes off the main highway.

The site was acquired in May 2024, and there is a ton of work to be done. It had no sewage, drains, water or electricity connections.

What are we putting in place?

  • An environmentally friendly sewage solution

  • 100% Solar and wind power generation

  • Natural water drainage and filtering

  • A water well, if we can find water

  • A range of recycling and upcycling solutions

  • A workshop to repair things, with a 3D printer

  • Re-planting of indigenous trees and plants

  • Stork, bird and insect housing

  • …..

At this stage we can’t have other motorhomes on site but hopefully this will change soon - we have water, sewage and a drain so it’s just a matter of adding more gravel to provide a stable based to park on.

If you want to contribute, we need all sorts of help:

  • We are building a wall (can you mix cement / lay bricks?)

  • Making gates (can you weld?)

  • Lots of digging

  • Painting

  • Planting

  • Cutting wood / making decks

How can you help?

Help us get EU funding

We think we should be able to qualify for EU funding, especially from a renewable energy perspective, and our environmental awareness in the local community perspectives.
